Claradine Gleason, age 82, of Saugatuck, died Sat­urday, December 3, 2011, at Hospice House in Holland. Born March 23, 1929, in Bravo, she was the daugh­ter of Andrew “Gene” and Ellen (Youel) Cunningham. Claradine graduated from Fennville High School in 1947. She was an assistant branch manager of First Michigan Bank. On June 4, 1966, she married Henry Gleason. They owned and operated the Gleason’s Party Store until their retirement in 2000. Claradine was a member of the Ganges Bap­tist Church and the Sau­gatuck Woman’s Club.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Gleason; her sons, Andy and Linda Starring of Ganges Twp., Bruce and Marilyn Star­ring of Saugatuck, Larry and Ann Starring of Ganges Twp., and Linus and Janice Starring of Lake Town Twp.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; broth­ers, Oliver Cunningham, Ralph Hollander and Jack Hollander; several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Starring; her brothers, Bob, George, Irving and Gene Cunningham and sister: Jessie Walker.

Following Claradine’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memo­rial service will be held at a later date. Private grave­side services will take place at Fennville Cemetery and Saugatuck Cemetery.
