Clara Marie ( Hamstra) Long, age 79, of Holland, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Resthaven Care Center.
She was retired from Vanguard Glass ( Gentex) where she had worked as an inspector.
Clara was preceded in death by her first husband, Milton Gene Hamstra of Holland in 1989; daughter, Debra Ann Hamstra of Grand Haven in 1957; and son, Michael A. Hamstra of Boise, ID in 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Milton Hamstra of San Diego, CA, Mark William Hamstra (Tracy) of Holland; daughters, Christine Marie Meengs (Rick) and Cynthia Holland, both of Austin, TX; daughter-inlaw, Mrs. Michael (Penny) Hamstra of Boise, ID; 11 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; sister, Josephine Van Kunus of Sheboygan, WI; brother, Peter Rienhardt of Escanaba; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, October 29 at Langeland- Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland, with Rev. Leigh Van Kempen officiating. Her ashes will be interred by her daughter, Debra, in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
