Claire Potter

Potter, Claire A. Kalamazoo, MI Passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, December 8, 2020 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Claire was born February 6, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of the late Rudolph and Esther (Brandenberger) Olson. Claire graduated from Wheaton College with her bachelor's in education. She taught in Chicago, Illinois and was employed as the church secretary at Westwood Baptist Church for many years. Claire had been a member of the Westwood Baptist Church since she moved to Kalamazoo and was currently a member of Oakwood Bible Church. On June 17, 1961 she was united in marriage to David R. Potter, who proceeded her in death. Surviving are her three children, Mark (Michelle) Potter of Dexter, MI, Laurel (David) Northrop of Sturgis, MI, and Lynnette Potter of Kalamazoo; and five grandchildren, Joshua, Kelly, and Caleb Northrop, Alyssa and Tyler Potter. A private graveside service will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, North. As Claire's heart was always tender for missions, memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or Samaritan's Purse.
