Cheryl Rundle

Cheryl Ann Rundle, 70, passed away with her family by her side on August 7, 2026. Cheryl was born October 3, 1955 in Detroit, MI to Matthew and Patricia (Mittelbrun) Litwaitis. She graduated from Milford High School and went on to marry Christopher Rundle on September 22, 1978. The couple enjoyed 48 years of marriage.

Along with her husband, Chris, Cheryl is survived by their two children, Katherine "Kato" Lynn (Mark Giffin) Rundle and Brian T. Rundle; her father, Matthew Litwaitis; siblings, Michael Litwaitis, Margaret Litwaitis, Matthew Litwaitis, Marilyn Litwaitis and Will Litwaitis and her nieces and nephews, Bridgette Vida, Tricia "Kiddo" Vida, Rose (Kevin) Speece, Josh Hamlin, Luke Litwaitis and Lillian Litwaitis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia.

One of Cheryl's many passions was gardening. She was a Master Gardener and helped keep up the grounds and flower beds at many rest areas in Michigan. Cheryl loved their family pets, especially their dogs, along with birds and butterflies. She also gave a lot of her time to volunteer work. Whether it was through the Read and Ride program or the Kids with Dogs program through Gull Lake Community Schools or the Gateway Academy, she was always willing to donate her time.

Cheryl was a beautiful soul, who was gracious, caring, kind and compassionate. She was cherished by her family, many friends and all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Cheryl is truly "loved forever and a day."

As per Cheryl's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in memory of Cheryl are asked to consider the American Cancer Society.
