Charles, Joseph P. Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at home. Joseph was born March 11, 1950 in Sea Bright, NJ the son of Joseph and Dorothy Charles. He retired from Central Tile & Terrazzo where he belonged to the Bricklayers & Allied Craft workers Union #2 and he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are three children, Joseph (Lisa) Charles of Petoskey, Emeka (Gautier) Debyser of Kalamazoo, Anna (Ted) Walsh of Kalamazoo; sister, Grace Bender of Old Bridge, NJ; one grandchild, Francez Debyser; significant other, Luann Kucks; along with several nieces & nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Boyer. Joe loved fishing and canoeing, music, watching a good Western, and looked most forward to playing with his grandson. Catholic mass will be celebrated at 3 pm Friday, December 11, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.
