Charles Eugene Brock I, "Charlie," was born on June 25, 1947, in Waukegan, Illinois, to the late Evelyn (De Long) and Charles Brock. He passed away on April 1, 2026, with his loving and devoted wife by his side.

Charlie dedicated many years of his life to his work at Ralph Moyle Inc., where he was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment. Outside of his career, he embraced life fully and found joy in the things he loved most.

He had a passion for drag racing and took great pride in his award-winning Mustang convertible, which reflected both his competitive spirit and his love of classic cars. He also found fulfillment in volunteering and greatly enjoyed his time at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo, as well as live music and traveling. Charles lived with enthusiasm and created lasting memories through his many interests and experiences.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Charles Brock; his mother- and father-in-law, Patricia and Harry Moyle; his brothers, Frank and Bob; his sister, Margie; his son, Craig; and his stepsons, Mike and Ken.

He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife of 31 years, Nancy (Moyle) Brock, who stood by his side throughout life's journey.

He is also survived by his brother- and sister-in-law, William and Cindy Moyle; his children, Eric, Scott, Amy Brock, Amanda (Jim) Gilbert, Charlie (Jennifer) Brock, Christi Alexander, and stepson Mark; his grandchildren, Alex (Libby) Freer, Sydney (Will) Haase, Kensey (Fieke) Gilbert, Jim Ryan Gilbert, Charlie Brock, Lilly Brock, and Phillip Lee; and his great-grandchildren, Jace and Lucas Freer.

Charlie will be remembered for his dedication, his passions, beating his kids at cards, darts, pool and jeopardy, and, most of all, the love he shared with his family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes there will be no service at this time but a Celebration of Life may be planned at a later date.
