Betke, Charles 7/21/1928 - 6/3/2021 Comstock Township, MI Passed away Thursday June 3, 2021 at Rose Arbor Hospice. Charles was born July 21, 1928 in Chicago, IL the son of Henry & Lucille (Bierbaum) Betke. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army, and retired as a bricklayer. On March 10, 1956. Charles was united in marriage to the former Joan Thornton who preceded him in death on July 15, 2015. Surviving are four children, Debbie Whittaker of Galesburg, Gayle Lovett of Kalamazoo, Mary (Vince) McNally of Kalamazoo, Joe (Robin) Betke of Kalamazoo; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 9:30 to 10:30 am Tuesday June 8, 2021 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held following at 11 am at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
