KRAEGEL, CARRIE (WILLIAMS) Kalamazoo, formerly of Essexville Carrie (Williams) Kraegel, age 42, passed away on Monday, December 7, surrounded by her loving family after a very short battle with cancer. She was born on August 12, 1978 to Michael and the late Betty (Green) Williams in Bay City. Carrie graduated from All Saints High School and went on to earn a degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University. Carrie was very passionate about her career at Stryker Medical Corporation where she was employed for over 20 years and had advanced to the level of Director of Communications. Carrie loved being an active Mom to her two children Brady and Ellie more than anything in the world. From running, biking, hiking, and spending time outdoors in the sun and fresh air with her kids and dog Sammie, she made every day an adventure. Carrie loved decorating for the holidays, baking cookies and making sure the house was cozy for Saturday afternoon MSU football and scary movie nights. Carrie also loved being part of her local Kalamazoo cycling team (Whiners) and spent the last few years training for triathlons with friends. Carrie never put herself first and was a wonderful and always thoughtful Sister and Aunt. She spent many weekends each year traveling to Bay City to spend time with her parents and extended family whom she cherished above all else. Carrie was relentlessly determined in all she set her mind to. She loved nothing more than enjoying life surrounded by family and friends in everything she did. She is survived by her children, Brady and Ellie Kraegel, her father Michael Williams, and five siblings: Mike (Kelly) Williams, Michelle (Jeff) Yaklin, Ladd (Gina) Williams, Wendy Williams and Ben (Amy) Williams. A private funeral will be held with a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed towards a Memorial Fund to be established in Carrie's children Brady and Ellie names. Donations may be forwarded to Trahan Funeral Chapel in Michael Williams name. You are gone far too soon and not a day will go by that we won't miss your smile and contagious love for making every day important. T.W.M.A. For on-line sentiments: www.trahanfc.com
