Carole Boerman

oerman, Carole E. Paw Paw Age 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Carole was born in Marshall, Michigan on September 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Carl A. and Evelyn E. (Barrett) Purcell. She was a long-time employee of Friendship Village, retiring after 25 years. Carol was a kind and generous lady, who easily became everyone's best friend. She was also devoted to her faith and was a member of Texas Corners Bible Church. On December 17, 1960, Carole was united in marriage to Laverne D. Boerman, who survives. She is also survived by her son, Thomas (Denise) Boerman; grandchildren, Andrew and Alyssa Boerman; step-granddaughters, Morgan and Cassidy Medema; half-sister, Betsy Ayars and step-sister, Judy Ross. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen E. Shephard; sister, JoAnne Morford; and brothers, Mike Purcell and Steve, Doug and Dean Ayars. A funeral service will be held at Texas Corners Bible Church, 7780 S. 8th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009, on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Pastor David Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at West Oshtemo Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
