She was born February 5, 1937, in Elgin, Illinois, to Lawrence B. and Marjorie M. (Ziegler) Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her two younger siblings, Douglas A. Wallace of Iowa City, Iowa, and Priscilla M. Peters of Hamilton, Montana.

After 62 years of marriage, she is survived by her husband, David H. Teugh (Dave), her daughter Patricia T. Foster (partner Clyde Boyd), her son and daughter-in-law Douglas A. and Christine A. Teugh, and her grandchildren David A. Teugh (partner Victoria Webster) and Catherine A. Teugh. She is also survived by her older brother, Rodney L. A talented pianist, church organist, and dedicated volunteer, Carol touched many lives through her diverse pursuits. She excelled as a special education teacher, a swim instructor, and lifeguard, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to helping others. Carol worked with Red Cross Disaster Services and traveled across the country directly assisting victims of fires, earthquakes and floods. She and Dave delivered Meals on Wheels for many years, were active in their church as elders and choir members, and were supporters of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, opening their homes to the musicians and brought the "Instrument Petting Zoo" to elementary schools of Kalamazoo and surrounding areas.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at 2 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1515 Helen Street, Portage MI 49002, with a reception to follow. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service.
