Carol Fricke

Fricke, Carol Ann Of Kalamazoo, MI Carol Ann Fricke, age 70, went home to be with her Lord on January 25, 2021. Carol was born August 26, 1950 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of the late Evert and Tina (Triestram) VerHage. She was a lifelong area resident and was employed as a cashier for over 30 years working the majority of those years at D&W. Carol was well known as a people person who enjoyed camping up North. She was a true animal lover throughout the years, especially her beloved dogs. Carol was a longtime member of Bethany Reformed Church. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed providing for all her family and friends. On September 27, 1991 she was united in marriage to Kenneth H. Fricke, who survives. Also surviving are her three sons John Jr. (Jennifer) Kalleward, William Sr. (Dianna) Kalleward and Robert (Tina) Kalleward; grandchildren Sam (Angela) Kalleward, Jackson Kalleward, Lucas Kalleward, William Kalleward, Jr., Courtnie (Josh) Marr, Chelsea Kalleward, Robby Kalleward; great-grandchildren Stella and Sawyer Kalleward, Rain Kalleward, Willow Marr, Summer and Benjamin Kalleward; her sister Margie (Terry) Gentry; nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Bethany Reformed Church (1833 S. Burdick Street). Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to service time. Social distancing and face masks are required. Burial will take place in Portage South Cemetery.
