Carol Carlisi

Carol Jean Carlisi (nee Sides) of Constantine, MI, died June 15, 2026 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born April 3, 1950 in Oak Park, IL. On January 25, 1969, she married Sigmond J. Carlisi in Chicago, IL.

Surviving Carol are her son Steven J. (Michelle) Carlisi of Three Rivers, MI, daughter Debra A. (Stephen) Meredith of Lake Forest, IL, and daughter Julie C. (John) Olsen of Asheville, NC; grandchildren Lauryn E. Carlisi, Olivia G. Carlisi, John C. Olsen, Audrey G. Meredith, Aiden C. Meredith, and Kathryn B. Carlisi. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Sigmond J. Carlisi, brother Ronald C. Sides, and sister Patricia M. Tomerlin.

Carol's grandchildren were her greatest joy in life, she spent countless hours caring for them and traveling to and cheering them on in their endeavors. She partnered with Sig in the running of Sig's Party Store in Constantine and in the owning, breeding and training of standardbred racehorses. Carol loved to read, and inspired her children and grandchildren to become lifelong readers.
