Johnson , Carla Lynne was born November 30th, 1960 to Fred and Barabara Jones in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was baptised at Galilee Baptist Church with her two brothers Todd and Chistian Jones in 1966. Throughout her youth Carla was a Girl Scout, bowler, and a cheerleader at Kalamazoo Central High School where she graduated from in 1978. After growing up in Kalamazoo, Carla joined her mother Barbara in South Bend, Indiana where she worked for Memorial Home Care playing a vital role in their office operations and development. It is in South Bend where she met and fell in love with Marco Johnson at the age of 22. They were married on December 12th, 1987 and would go on to make countless fun and loving memories together. After returning to Kalamazoo to work alongside her father Fred as manager of the Yellow Cab Company, Carla relocated with her family to Tucson, Arizona. In Arizona she continued to be a source of inspiration to her loved ones, friends, and community. One of Carla's greatest achievements while in Tucson was helping to organize and write successful grants for the Vail Community Food Bank. Known for her sense of humor and giving heart, Carla also loved music, traveling, cooking, being with family and friends, and her loyal dog Minnie Pearl. She was a gifted thinker and writer and leaves behind priceless advice, innovative ideas, and words of encouragement. Carla was called home to be with our Lord on August 6th, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband Marco; mother, Barbara; sister Karen Louise, and brother Todd. She leaves to cherish her memories father Fred (Sandra); brother Christian (Kathy); aunt Alice Wilson; daughter Latiece; three stepchildren Marco Jr., Patrick, and Andrea (Johnny); six grandchildren Elexis, Alexandria, Johnny, Clare, Axuri, and Qeriz; nieces Sasha, Amber, and Morgan; nephews Myles (Kalee), and Karter; great nephews Alex, Stefon, Felix, Lawson, and Lincoln; dear cousins Mark, Marcia, and Michael; a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, friends; and special daughter Alexandra Pace. A private family celebration of life has been held.
