Carl Schelling

Carl B. Schelling, aged 45, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Heavenly Father after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Preceding him in death were his mother, Donna, and his brother, Craig. He is survived by his loving wife, Celeste; two sons, Matt and Ryan; grandson, Noah; father, Terrance (Marcy) Schelling; sister, Christine (Steve) Morrissey; brother, David (Cheryl) Vandermeer; in-laws, Byron and Mitzi Zeilbeck; sister-in-law, Mary Zeilbeck; brothers-in-law, Mark and Sue Zeilbeck, David and Jennifer Zeilbeck and Thomas and Peggy Ackerman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and long time friends. A special Thank You to Dr. Lawrence Pawl and his staff, Lettinga Cancer Center, and Kent Community Hospital for their understanding and compassion during this difficult time. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th, 2008, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 224 Carrier St. NE, at 12:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
