Brian Stahr

Passed away Tuesday evening, February 22, 2005. Brian was born July 9, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Russell and Marie (DeKorne) Stahr. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army. Brian was currently co-owner and operator of the family business, Stahrs of Kalamazoo. He also enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Shelbyville, MI; fishing and watching TV. Brian was a very caring and giving person who always had a joke for you and left you smiling. Surviving are his sons, Steve and wife, Karen Stahr of Portage, Daniel Stahr and fiancee', Jennifer VanNoord of Kalamazoo; a sister, Sue (Jim) Chambers of Grand Rapids; a brother, Russ (Sue) Stahr of Oshtemo; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial gathering of friends will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 26 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Memorials in Brian's memory may be directed to the American Lung Association.
