Obituary
Bradley Whittle (or Papa, as everyone knew him) of Kalamazoo passed away quietly at home with his family by his side on March 7, 2025 at the age of 72 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Brad was born in Benton Harbor, MI on March 5, 1953, son of the late Dale Eugene Whittle and Dorothy Lucille (Merrill) Whittle. On February 16, 1974 he married the former Mary Beth Ouding in Kalamazoo. In the early seventies, Brad drove semi for Graff & Davis Motor Co. for several years, then dispatched loads for the same company. He left trucking for a career in production and logistics with INX International until he retired in 2015. Bradley loved golfing and bowling. He participated in leagues in both sports for many decades. Golfing with the "Hot Shots" at Lake Doster for 40+ years was one of the great joys of his life, culminating in his first and only hole-in-one in September of 2016 at Olde Mill Golf Course.
Brad is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Beth, his two sons and daughter-in-law of whom he was so proud, Andrew (Liz) Whittle of Comstock and Bradford Whittle of Kalamazoo, his five grandchildren (the lights of his life) twins Lauren and Jenna Whittle, Alexander Whittle, Nicholas Whittle, and Lukin Whittle and his beloved dogs Vinny and Lewis. Also surviving are his sister Sharon (Denny) Yoder and brother Mark Whittle.
Cremation has taken place per Brad's wishes. A celebration of life get-together is being planned for the summer.
