Obituary
Bonnie Marie Sparacino, of Portage, MI, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of 83. Survived by her husband Steven Sparacino; her daughter Laurie (Jeff) Wasielewski; her brother Richard (Trudy) Gasser; her stepson Jasen (Leslie) Sparacino; her grandchildren Jordan and Jenna Wasielewski, Jon and Josh Stettler, and Jessica Rawski; and her great-grandchildren Ava and Poppy Stettler. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Lauramae Gasser, and her sons Tim and Dan Stettler. Bonnie enjoyed sports. Football, baseball, hockey, and basketball. She was a great fan of the Green Bay Packers. She also followed the Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers. She enjoyed attending the games of her local sports teams: The Kalamazoo Wings and the Broncos' hockey, as well as Growlers baseball. She enjoyed playing sports too. She played sand and indoor volleyball for many years. Bonnie loved animals and the outdoors. While she cared for all animals, cats were her favorite; at one point, she had six cats and loved each one. Her passion extended to feeding her outdoor "critters," with feeders placed around the outside of the house that she fondly called "kitty TV" for how they entertained the cats. A memorial service for Bonnie will be held at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W Janesville Rd, Hales Corners, WI 53130. Viewing will be on May 13, 2026, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, with the memorial service following. A private interment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha, WI, the following day.
