ROUNDS (Sparta) - Mrs. Bonnie E. Rounds, age 65, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday evening, April 10, 2010. Bonnie grew up in Gowen and was a 1962 graduate of Greenville High School. She went to work for Keeler Brass, and it was there that she met Richard. While attending Gowen Bible Church, Bonnie accepted Christ as her personal Savior. After a loving courtship, she and Richard were married on July 30, 1966. When the children arrived, Bonnie became a stay-at-home mother. She taught her children how to sing. Bonnie loved Bible stories; and while Richard and his group sang in church, she would illustrate the Bible stories with her chalkboard talent. Bonnie was always busy, and at one time she held three part-time jobs. When her daughter got married, she made the dresses and flower arrangements. She also made the wedding dresses for her daughters-in-law. Bonnie liked crafts and used her creative ability with the children at Daily Vacation Bible School. She operated the Third Day Creation, a dried flower business. Her life was patterned after Proverbs 31. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Richard of nearly 44 years; children, Robert and Jenny Rounds, Michael and Marcy Savage, Eric and Kimberly Rounds; grandchildren, Krystal and Michaela Savage, Rachel, Zachary, Kendra, Kaleb and Kyla Rounds; brothers and sisters, Billy and Sharon Davis, Mrs. Eloise Ostrander, Ed and Alice Jackson, Mrs. Emma Rogers, Norm and Crystal Davis, Mrs. Blanch Blow; mother-in-law, Mrs. Agnes Rounds; sisters-in-law, Judy Williams and Deborah Wagner; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Cora Davis, brothers, Jerry, Tom, and Gene Davis, and her sister, Mrs. May Maule. The Service of Praise and Thanksgiving for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ for Mrs. Rounds will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 233 S. Main St. Cedar Springs, where Bonnie was a member. Pastor Jim Howard will be officiating. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider First Baptist Church of Cedar Springs or Hospice of Michigan, 989 Spaulding Ave. SE Ada, MI 49301.
