Bonnie Mattison

Mattison, Bonnie M. Kalamazoo, MI Bonnie passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 at her home in Kalamazoo. She was born August 16, 1949 in Niles, the daughter of Carley and Belva (Gregory) Daniel. For many years Bonnie was a medical assistant at Bronson Hospital. After her retirement she enjoyed volunteering in the NICU and at Cooper Elementary as a reading aide. Bonnie loved quilting and had made many quilts for all of her family. Bonnie's world revolved around her family, especially her granddaughter who she loved spending time with. Bonnie was a member of the Alamo Community Congregational Church, now Restoration Church of Alamo. On January 12, 1970 she married Michael Mattison who passed away in 2017. Surviving are her son, Brian (Jennifer) Mattison; granddaughter, Aubrey; siblings, Betty Simmons and Jeanette Sikkenga along with many nieces and nephews, including a special niece who was like a daughter, Wendy (Julie) Sikkenga. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Jane Lamphear and Dan Daniel. Friends may visit with Bonnie's family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Restoration Church of Alamo with Pastor Don Boss officiating. Cremation will follow.
