Beverly Perkins

Beverly Arlene Perkins, age 82, passed away June 15, 2021 at Borgess Hospital. Beverly was born January 26, 1939 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Fessenden) Anderson. On April 10, 1965, she was united in marriage to James L. Perkins, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 19, 2007. For over 25 years she was employed as a nurse at the Kalamazoo State Hospital until her retirement. Beverly was known as a very caring person; and would help out anyone that had a need. Family was the most important part of her life. Surviving are her children, Kevin Neal, Dane Neal, Moreen Horsford (Brad), Shawn Neal (Sybil), James Perkins Jr. (Heather), and Tracy Perkins-McInnis (Greg); her partner Mark Evans; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Arthur Anderson Jr. (Ellen); in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Tuesday, June 22nd at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday, June 21st at the funeral home.
