Shadley, Beulah May Beulah May Shadley passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 8, 2022. Beulah was born on May 13, 1934 in Kalamazoo, the youngest of five daughters to Fremont and Florence (Adams) Wright. On November 27, 1953, she married her best friend, Paul Shadley. They were blessed with 66 years of a loving marriage together. She was a lifelong area resident who worked many years for The Upjohn Company. She was a woman of deep faith and conviction and was a longtime active member of Greenwood Reformed Church. As a prayer warrior, many family, friends, and acquaintances coveted her prayers for them. To know Beulah was to be hugged by Beulah. Whether a member of her family, a close friend, or a casual acquaintance, you were always greeted and sent off with a warm hug! Nowhere was this truer than at Park Village Pines, where she resided for the last five years, making dear friends, all of whom cared and supported her there. Nothing brought Beulah more joy than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Family was EVERYTHING! Surviving are her three children and their spouses: Pamela (David) Buis, Mark (Jill) Shadley, and Jeff (Karel) Shadley; grandchildren, Peter (Cara) Buis, Katie (Jeremy Nufer) Buis, Jennifer (Mike) Martinson, Anna Buis, Erica (Dan) Robinson, and Todd (Melissa) Shadley; great-grandchildren: Grace, Shane, Troy, Olivia, Maddy, Ella, Greyson, and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews. Beulah was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul, in 2020; parents; and all four sisters and their spouses. A graveside service will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South on Friday, November 18 at 10:00am. Memorials in Beulah's memory may be directed to Greenwood Reformed Church or Centrica Care Navigators (formerly Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan).
