Beulah E. Haggard

Age 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Glenn Arbor Hospice in Battle Creek, MI. Beulah was born in Battle Creek, MI to the late Harrison and Marguerite (Baird) Mills. She was raised by her step-mother, Hazel (Van Allen) Mills from the age of 2 after her mother passed away. She married Kenneth Haggard, Sr. in San Antonio, Texas on November 30, 1942, and together they had three children: Diana Ebinger, Debra (George) Wunder and Kenneth Haggard, Jr. She has seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Gale (Faye) Mills and C. June Black; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; grandson, Jason; brothers, Harrison Mills, Wayne Mussulman, Kenneth Mills and Dale Mills; sister Margene (Orrin) Moe; son-in-law, George Ebinger; and her step-mother, Hazel. She was employed by The Upjohn Company until her retirement in 1983. She was a charter member of the Climax-Scotts American Legion Auxiliary. The things she most enjoyed were gardening, quilting, crocheting, reading and spending time with her cat, Baby. The family will greet friends on Friday, November 15th from 11am-12pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple St. where a memorial service will begin at 12:00 noon. Pastor Beverley Williams will officiate. A private interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lawrence Memorial District Library.
