Betty Elaine McIntosh left this earth to meet her Savior face to face on September 12, 2020. Betty was born September 29, 1922 in Hastings, MI. The only child of Harold Wayne Bugbee and Rena Vesta (Gillespie) Bugbee who have both preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband Roy J. McIntosh. The two were married on June 14th, 1958. Surviving are her daughter Elaine Wheeler, son-in-love Jon Wheeler, grandsons: Ryan and Dillon Wheeler, Tib Tsadik who was like a son to her, and many precious friends. Betty graduated from Western Michigan University in 1944 and followed her calling to be an elementary school teacher in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Schoolcraft, and Portage until 1962 when her daughter was born. Betty served her Lord faithfully by serving her family, community, and church. She was a charter member of Lighthouse Community Church, previously Kalamazoo Wesleyan Church, and held many positions of service and leadership there. Betty's bright smile, friendly personality and sincere kindness endeared her to everyone she met. She loved Jesus and it was important to her that people be introduced to Him. She was much loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A visitation for Betty will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 3-7:00 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S Ninth St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
