Betty Jo Kneller

Betty Jo Kneller, age 72 of Kalamazoo, died February 5, 2020, at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born March 4, 1947, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Harm and Rena (Johnson) Doorlag. Betty attended Kalamazoo Central High School. For 17 years, she worked for Checker Motors, before her 10 years at Richard Allen. Betty enjoyed her community at Evergreen North and was active with the residents and arts and crafts. Her family includes her children: Sheila (Mike) Willey, Ronald Terry, and John Terry; her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters: Albert (Nancy) Doorlag, Marsha Brown, and Tom (Margo) Doorlag; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Wayne VanAuken, Clara Doorlag, Robert Zanardi, and Patricia Doorlag; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters: Marian VanAuken, Herman Doorlag, Jeanie Carpenter, Doris Zanardi, Richard Doorlag, Lloyd Doorlag, and Norma Doorlag. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. In lieu of flowers, Betty's family requested memorials be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center.
