Betty Fritz

Fritz, Betty E. Kalamazoo Went home to be with her Lord on Sunday morning, May 8, 2022. She was born February 21, 1928 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Hank and Amy (Gallagher) Geverink. She retired from Pfizer (Upjohn Company). She also worked for a local radio station and Raebet's productions recording studio. Betty was a long time organist at Lake Center Bible Church and Oakwood Bible Church, where she attended. She enjoyed mystery trips with friends, vacationing in Hawaii and at Gun Lake. She also enjoyed counted crosstitch and knitting. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son born sleeping, Roger Bayer; her daughter, Karen Kortman; and husbands, Raymond Bayer and Ward Fritz. She is survived by her son-in-law, Gary L. Kortman; grandchildren Andrew L. (Jacki Jackson) Kortman and Erin (Dan) Campbell; great-grandchildren Maxwell L. Kortman, Delaney, Brooklyn and Kody Campbell; step-children Douglas (Cathia) Fritz, Pamela (Bradley) Scott, Michael (Sandi) Fritz, Valerie (William) Orr, and Kimberly (Steven) Frost; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may meet the family from 12:00-1:00pm Monday, May 16 at the Oakwood Bible Church, 4100 Oakland Dr. where funeral services will follow at 1:00pm. Private family interment will be in Mt.
