Meeth , Betty D. 5/18/1932 - 11/8/2022 Kalamazoo Age 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 8, 2022, at Rose Arbor Hospice surrounded by loved ones. She was born in 1932, the daughter of the late Richard and Marguerite (Miller) DeVries. Betty was kind, considerate and loving. She believed in the value of hard work and keeping one's word. Working hard to provide a happy home for her family, Betty was employed by the Upjohn Company, and later owned and operated Meeth Tax Preparation with her husband Tom. Betty enjoyed knitting and crochet and would pass out house slipper and baby blankets she had made. She was always thankful for her freedom and was very patriotic. A gifted cook, she enjoyed making her favorite dishes which were always shared with others. Betty also enjoyed going out to eat and was a regular at Applebee's on West Main where she and Tom were cheerfully known as "Mr. and Mrs. Grumpy". Above all she loved her family and her friends, and she leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived; she will be missed by all who loved her. On May 5, 1956, she married the love of her life, Thomas Meeth who survives. They enjoyed over 66 years together. She is also survived by three children, Tom R. Meeth, LouAnn Worden, Janine (Dan) Tinklenberg; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister Caroline Cuciurean; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in passing by three brothers and a sister; a son, Steve Meeth and a granddaughter, Nikki Meeth. Betty will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM (Family and friends are asked to gather at the assembly area at 10:45AM). In lieu of flowers memorials may be gifted to the family (checks payable to Tom Meeth). Family and friends may share a condolence message online at www.joldersma-klein.com.
