Barbara Krohn

Barbara J Krohn, 85 years old, of Bangor, MI passed away peacefully, holding hands with the love of her life on June 10, 2015. She finally succumbed to the Parkinson's disease that she bravely fought for so many years. She was born November 25, 1929, the daughter of Victor and Veronica Nolan. She was married to William Krohn October 21, 1950 at St Basils Church in South Haven. Barb was office manager for Bill Krohn Excavating for 30 years. She loved to golf and bowl before Parkinson's robbed her of that ability. She taught us life by example--she taught us faith, trust, love, respect, honesty, forgiveness and perseverance. She never complained but pressed on. She was an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and we will miss her dearly. Barb leaves behind her husband, Bill; her children, Bill (Suzanne), Steve (Becky), Kathy (Ron Dotson), Bob (Nancy Russell), Karol, Chuck (Annie), Kara (Shane Kimble); 16 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren, but she was a mother to so many more! She is also survived by siblings Helen Salasky, Fran Howard, and Bill Nolan and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor & Veronica Nolan; her sister, Peg; her great granddaughter, Hannah Cowgill; and her son-in-law, Delbert Johnson. Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the BANGOR CHAPEL, DL Miller Funeral Home, from 2-5 PM, where a memorial service will be Monday, June 15, 2015 at 2 PM.
