Passed away Friday, August 4, 2023 at her home. Barb was born May 31, 1954 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Eugene and Laurene (Timmerman) Grashorn. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University and was an active member of the Texas Corners Bible Church where she was involved with various church groups. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, and traveling. On September 9, 1989 Barb was united in marriage to her loving husband Bruce DeVries, who survives. She is also survived by daughter, Emily DeVries; brother, William (Jeanie) Grashorn; brother and sisters-in-law, Douglas DeVries, Connie and Pam Grashorn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas and Donald Grashorn; and brother-in-law, Dennis DeVries. Friends may meet the family from 9:30-11:00am on Tuesday, August 15 at the Texas Corners Bible Church, 7780 South 8th Street where funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Pastor David E. Thompson officiating.
