Barbara Haist

Haist, Barbara Ellen Barbara Ellen Haist, age 84, passed away August 21, 2022 at home with family by her side. She was born September 8, 1937 in Indiana to the late Dail William and Hilda Mae (Boyd) Treesh. Barbara was united in marriage on June 23, 1956 to Stanley Haist, who preceded her in 2010 after nearly 54 years of marriage. Also preceding her in death was sister, Betty Martin. Much of Barbara's joy came from spending time with her family. She loved nature and enjoyed watching birds and other wildlife. She also liked trips to the casino and watching Red Wings games with daughter, Leesa. She retired in 2000 from Liner Health Products after many years of service. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Treesa Haist; grandson, Christopher Haist; daughter, Leesa (Charlie Chapman) Haist; sister, Sharon (Dick) Rowe; and close friend, Corliss Belland. A committal service will take place Thursday, September 1 at 10:30am at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Those wishing to attend shall arrive by 10:15am and meet in the funeral cortege area. Immediately following the committal, there will be a time of food and fellowship at Augusta Custer VFW 7956, 13549 W, M-96, Augusta, MI 49012.
