Barbara Braendle

BRAENDLE - Barbara C. Braendle, aged 90, of Grand Rapids, went to be her Lord on January 18, 2012. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 12, 1921 to Arthur and Alma Lovedahl. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara "Bobbie" L. Baker; step-son, Larry (Karen) Braendle; step-daughter, Doni Huyler; six step-granddaughters; eight step-great-grandchildren; sister, Joann Herrity; sister-in-law, Carol Lovedahl; and also several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Donald Edward Braendle, brother, Jon Lovedahl, brother-in-law, George Herrity and step-son-in-law, Bill Huyler. Barbara was a retired Physical Education teacher from Grand Rapids schools and loved to be called "Gym Teacher." She was a PEO for over 60 years and also a member of Grace Episcopal Church. The family would like to thank Oak Crest for their wonderful care and also Hospice of Michigan. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Visitation and Service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Grace Episcopal Church.
