Anton "Bud" P. Verbeek of Kalamazoo, MI.

Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, October 29, 2023. Bud was born November 20, 1927 in Litchville, ND the son of Tony and Priscilla (Post) Verbeek. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Bud retired from Michigan Bell Telephone after 35 years and was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church.

On August 10, 1951 Bud was united in marriage to his loving wife of 72 years, Harriet (Brondyke) who survives. Also surviving are his children, Thomas (Kathy) Verbeek, Michael (Debra) Verbeek, Connie Postmus; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy (Arie) Visser; and several nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Mike Yeager; and sisters, Dorothy Tarbell and Jennie Nufer. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, November 4 at Grace Christian Reformed Church, 1724 Whites Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49008 where funeral services will follow at 11:00am. A light luncheon will follow the service and private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorials may be directed to Park Village Pines or Grace Christian Reformed Church.
