Annmarie Freeland

Freeland, Annmarie E. age 74, a longtime Kalamazoo resident passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at The Fountains at Bronson Place. She was born January 17, 1946 in Westfield, Massachusetts a daughter to the late Glenn and Edith Price. Annmarie received her Master's Degree from Western Michigan University, following her four years at Nazareth College and had worked for Kalamazoo County, in Parks and Recreation, then a stint in the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Annmarie then worked for our and then under our good friend, Nancy Donovan, whose office provided support two the Board of Commissioners. Before retiring and spending time at home and with her husband of 49 years: Wesley Freeland. Together they enjoyed traveling, especially visiting the Michigan Upper Peninsula. She was past president, for the normal two years, of the Kalamazoo Ladies Library. Annmarie was an avid reader, her given name was Reader Freeland - she was a pure reader of many different fields from history to crimes and other subjects. A book would always be in her lap. According to her wishes there will be no visitation or services as cremation has taken place. The family suggest memorial donations in her memory be directed to the Kalamazoo Ladies Library Association, 333 S. Park St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
