Ann (VanSomeren) Huisman

Ann (VanSomeren) Huisman, aged 93, of Jenison, departed this life on Monday, April 28, 2008 to assume her new life as promised by Christ in His resurrection. She now joins her beloved husband, Peter Huisman, who passed away on December 7, 2005. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild; three brothers; and two sisters. Ann was a woman of unassuming strength, a keen perception, and deep faith. Her life found definition in her loving marriage to Peter and the Christian home they made together. She leaves behind her dear children, Judy and David Stansby of Holland, Louise Miles of FL; grandchildren, Tracia Stansby, Dr. Eric Stansby, Susette and Jeffery Hunt; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Jasmine, Braden; sister, Margaret Rozendal; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom and Fran Huisman, Ray and Evelyn Huisman, Marvin and Ruth Huisman, Marion Sperling all of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday 1:30 p.m. at Sunset Manor Chapel, 725 Baldwin, Jenison with Rev. Mark Bennink and Rev. Henry Van Wyk, officiating. Interment Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Holland, MI.
