Cucci, Angelo Michael "Mike" Kalamazoo Angelo Michael "Mike" Cucci of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away unexpectedly due to cerebrovascular complications of diabetes on September 29, 2022, at 62 years of age. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 23, 1960, to Angelo Cucci and Sylvia Wester. Mike grew up in Dearborn Heights, often sharing fond memories of his siblings, neighborhood friends, classmates, and of his glory days on the gridiron with the Crestwood High School football team. From the time he was six years old, Mike knew he wanted to be a dentist. Through hard work and dedication, he accomplished that goal in 1987, graduating from the University of Michigan Dental School. He owned a dental practice in Three Rivers, treating patients for nearly 30 years. In 1986, Mike asked Mira Jansen to accompany him to a University of Michigan football game, and in 1990 they married in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They shared three wonderful children of whom he was exceptionally proud. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, University of Michigan and Detroit Lions football, and Ted Nugent. He loved a good pizza, and often drove across the state simply to grab DeLuca's, because it was the best. Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mira; his children, Lucas (Jhai) Cucci, Emma (Andrew) Hessler and Sophia Cucci; as well as beloved granddaughter, Margaux Hessler; siblings, Anthony (Diane) Cucci, Nicholas (Nancy) Cucci, Jean (Robert) Crowell, Joseph (Kimberly) Cucci, and their families. A memorial will take place on November 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 23830 Front St., Mattawan, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Friends and family may share a condolence message online at www.joldersma-klein.com.
