Amy was born in Kalamazoo to Jeff and Marge Baker on February 13, 1975. She graduated from Portage Central, and attended KVCC.
Amy was a flight director for the United States Navy, and traveled the world on the USS Harry S. Truman.
Amy's great love was horses. Amy's hobbies included training and racing horses and won several awards for endurance races around Michigan. She also enjoyed archery, art, boating, fishing, traveling, reading, and poetry, among many other interests. Many poems of hers can be viewed at Poetrysoup.com, where she won numerous awards.
Amy is survived by her husband Gary of 25 years, daughters Maya Warner of Vicksburg, and Elora Vávra of Detroit. She also is survived by her brother John (Patti) Baker of White Pigeon, and parents Jeff and Marge Baker of Three Rivers.
