Alice, age 90, died peacefully at home in the presence of her family on Monday morning, August 24, 2020. Alice, the daughter of Henry Belin III and Katherine Hoffman Belin was born on June 25, 1930, in Scranton, PA. She grew up in Wavery, PA; attended boarding school at The Masters School at Dobbs in Ferry NY and attended Blackstone College in Virginia. On July 13, 1957, Alice married James A. Fish, Sr. in Scranton, PA. They moved to Hickory Corners MI and purchased Lockshore Farms in 1963, where she actively farmed with Jim and raised three children. Alice spent many hours tending to her flower and vegetable garden, maintaining the farm books and cooking meals for anyone who might show up for dinner or take residence at the Fish household. She was an excellent cook and always up for trying a new recipe. Alice was co-owner of Village Green Antiques in the early 70's and co-owner of Travel Unlimited for many years. She was also a founding member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church of Richland, MI. Alice loved to collect antiques, cook, travel, read, play golf and paddle tennis, but her favorite thing was to fly fish or spend time at the cabin in Sharon, MI with her husband, Jim. Alice was always up for having fun and was known for a good party or two. She lived a full life! Alice was sadly preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jim on August 25, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Hank and Paul Belin; two nieces, Jodi and Leslie Belin and her daughter-in-law, Lory A. Fish on July 6, 2016. She is survived by her children, Tamalyn Flook, James A. Fish, Jr. and Susan (Brian) Buckham and four precious grandchildren, Darren Fish, Mackenzie Flook and Cody and Kylie Buckham. Due to government restrictions, a private family Mass was held in St. Timothy Episcopal Church. Final interment for both Alice and Jim will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI with full military honors bestowed to her husband, Jim. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alice's honor may be directed to Pierce Cedar Creek Institute, 701 W. Cloverdale Road, Hastings, MI 49058 or Froggie's Pond, 3070 W. Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49037. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel is assisting Alice's family.
