Formerly of Richland MI The Lord knows on the day we're born the number of days we have. For 25 years we have been blessed with having Alex in our lives, as son, brother, nephew, cousin, best friend and friend. On September 18th, Alex was tragically hit by a car while walking to work. He passed away on October 2, 2019. Alex was born February 26, 1994. He grew up in Richland, Michigan. He was very involved in youth bowling and was a 4-year member of the Gull Lake High School Varsity Bowling Team. He graduated from Gull Lake High School in 2012. He attended and graduated from Western Michigan University in 2016, where he received a B.S. in Computer Science. After graduation, Alex moved to Redwood City, CA to start his career in iOS development. He was employed by Wealthfront investments of Palo Alto, as an iOS software engineer. Prior to that he held software engineering positions with Frankly Inc. of San Francisco, CA and Gordon Food Service of Grand Rapids, MI. Alex loved music, video gaming, and being with his family and friends in his free time. His shy, warm smile, generous personality, and quirky sense of humor will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Alex was passionate about being an organ donor, encouraging family and friends to register in their state. This was his final gift of love, and vital parts of him will live on, giving new life to others. He was also passionate about raising awareness for net neutrality.
