Aledean "Deanie" Tramontin

Deanie passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Portage, MI at the age of 83. She was born on December 5, 1934 in Chicago, IL a daughter of Lawrence and Grace DuCharme. Deanie was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church where she was a member of the N.I.P. Group. She was also a member of the Kalamazoo Area New Comers Club, the Encore Club, the Portage Senior Center and a Red Group member of the Red Hatters where she was the Princess of the Reds. She enjoyed gourmet cooking, sewing, crafts and playing bridge. Deanie was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Michael Tramontin. She is survived by her husband, Donald; two children, Greg Tramontin of Baton Rouge, LA and Laura (Aaron) Woods of Prairieville, LA; four grandchildren, Jacob (Renee) Tramontin, Lucas Tramontin, Hannah Averett and Donna Averett; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin & Cameron Tramontin; a brother, Jerry (Gail) DuCharme; a sister, Irene Rucholdt; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28th from 4-7 p.m. at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street where a Rosary Service will begin at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 29th at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1150 West Centre Avenue, where the family will receive guests prior to and after the mass. Burial in Ft. Custer National Cemetery will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 2nd. Those wishing to attend the cemetery service should be in the cemetery cortege area by 9:45.
