Albert Taylor

Albert Taylor, age 83, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 27, 2017. He was born in Macon, MS, February 22, 1934, son of the late William and Edna (Nee: Perry) Taylor. His family had moved to Racine when Albert was six years old.

Albert was employed as an auto mechanic for 38 years having worked at Don Hutson for many years, retiring from Frank Boucher Chevrolet in 1993. He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Al enjoyed fishing, sporting events, and watching old westerns. Above all he treasured the time spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his children, Felecia Taylor, Rory Taylor, Darren (Diane) Taylor, Alete McKenzie, Jayson Taylor- Dawkins, Demetrius Powell; grandchildren, Brittany Hunter, Camilla Taylor, L’Amecia Taylor, Antonio Taylor, Jaylin Taylor-Dawkins, Kalen Guenther-Dawkins; 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, William Taylor.

A Homegoing Service will be held Monday, March 6, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1120 Grand Ave. with Bishop Lawrence Kirby officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at church 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M..
