Obituary
Ada R. Krause, of Hamilton, went to be with her Lord, Friday, April 11, 2008 at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family. Ada was born November 14, 1920 in Monterey Twp., the daughter of Ernest and Alice (Barber) Coffey. She graduated from Allegan High School, Allegan County Normal and attended Western Michigan University earning a teaching certificate. She taught at many country schools in the area, New Salem, Gitchell, Hillcrest, Sandhill, Dallas and Bentheim. Ada was an active member at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church all of her life, she taught Sunday School and held many others position within the church. God, Church and Family were very important in her life. On November 11, 1950, Ada married her best friend, Jack Krause who preceded her in death. Surviving are her three children, Joanne Jones, Julie Krause and Jack and Kris Krause all of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; one sister, Irene Rutgers of Hamilton; two sisters-in-law, Doris and Dick Schmidtman of Middleville and Dorothy and Bud Krotz of Allegan; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and close friends, Marie and Herb Lampen. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffrey, her great grandson, Micah, two brothers, Marion and Lewis, five sisters, Emma and Luvena Moored, Viola Price, Ellen Kooyers and Dena Defeyter. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church. Pastor Mark Inman will officiate. Interment Salem Twp. Cemetery.
