Gillis Sale Jr.

Gillis Sale, Jr, 94, of Holland, Michigan passed away on April 11, 2024 in Holland.

Gil was born in Holland, Michigan on January 31, 1930 to Gillis and Dena (Jansen) Sale. Gil served his country in the Army during the Korean War and went on to work at Biotec, Inc in Zeeland where he retired. He was a member of Fellowship Church and served as a caretaker for Jack & Marlis DeWitt for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Joyce Sale in 2008. His parents Gillis & Dena Sale, his sister Hazel Dannenberg, brothers Bill, Bob & Dick Sale.

Gil is survived by his daughters, Kim (Rod) Glass of Benton Louisiana, Kristi Sale Gentry of Palmyra Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Jenna (Dusty) Bagley, Amanda (Bryant) Boyd, Zachary (Morgan) Glass, Kasey (Molly) Gentry, Ashleigh Gentry; great-grandchildren, Ella Grace, Elizabeth, & Embree Boyd, Brilee, Walker, Luke Henry & Georgia Kate Bagley, Nora James & Nolan Glass; special friends, Amy Maat and Curt & Tonya Zoet.

A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, April 17 at 11:00am at Fellowship Reformed Church, (2165 W Lakewood Blvd, Holland), with a one-hour visitation prior starting at 10:00am. Burial will take place at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
