Edward Silva, age 59, passed away April 7, 2015.
Edward was preceded in death by his father, Teodoro Silva; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Juan Arispe; and his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Gonzales.
Edward is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mercedes Silva; daughter, Catarina (Esmil) Rodriguez; son, Alex (Cristabel) Silva; daughter, Angie Silva; daughter, Sonya (Alex Garcia) Silva; mother, Josefa Silva; and sister, Rosa (Alfredo) Becerra. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Adrianna Silva, Gabriela Rodriguez, Isabel Silva, Alicia Silva, Mateo Rodriguez, A.J. Silva, Max Rodriguez, and Emmie and Sophia Rodriguez; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Visitations will take place Sunday, April 12, 2-4 and 6-9, with a Rosary at 7 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel; 188 West 32nd St. A Funeral Mass will take place Monday, April 13 at 10 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church; 195 West 13th St. A Committal Service will follow at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
