LaVerne Fagan

H. LaVerne Fagan, 91, of Bradley passed away May 21, 2014 at River North of Bradley. She was born June 11, 1922 to Palmer and Margaret (Hart) McIntyre in Pittsburg, PA. She married Lawrence Fagan and formerly lived in the Pittsburg area for many years but most recently resided in Bradley IL. LaVerne worked in sales and retail for numerous years. She was a member of St. Thomas A’Beckett Catholic Church and most recently attended 1st Church of the Nazarene in Kankakee. She was also past president of the T.O.P.S. Club and enjoyed crafts and crocheting. But above all she was an outstanding mother and fantastic provider for her family.

Surviving LaVerne are her children LaVerne (Joe) Feth, Margaret (Stan) Borcik, Susan Schaaf , Russell (Diane)Fagan. She is also survived by her grandchildren Scott, Joey (Jaime), Heidi (Jim) McCabe, William (Sherry) Borcik, James Borcik, Ryan (Rachel), Kristy Schaaf, Megan (Nathan)Bindas, Brian (Mychelle) Getz, Brittany, Lauren, MacKenzie along with great grandchildren Brandon, Alex, Savannah, Jack, Jett, Coty, Lacey, Morgan, Madison, Connor, Ben, Alayna, Landon, Ivy, Daisy Belle, and Poppy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son in law Steve Schaaf, one grandchild Kevin Borcik, and one son and daughter in law James and Darleen Getz.

A gathering for family and friends will be May 31, 2014 from Noon-3 p.m. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home at 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburg PA. with a prayer service at 3 p.m. also at the funeral Home. Burial will take place following the services.
