David Wieling, age 69, of Holland, passed away Sunday April 20, 2014
David was one of the first graduating classes from West Ottawa High School in 1962. He worked for, and retired from Donnelly Corporation after 40 years. He was a member of Harlem Reformed Church and belonged to a group of men, called the Romeos’. David enjoyed gardening, fishing in his pond, and above all loved the Lord and his family. He cherished his wife (Kathleen) of 47 years, was so proud of his 3 children, and adored his 6 grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of 47 years; children, Sheri Kay & (Tony) Karafa, Shayne & (Sheri Lyn) Wieling, and Julie Montgomery; grandchildren, Abby Kate, Brooke, Justin, Jacob, Ryan, & Kaylana; sister, Sally Jo Wieling; brother, Ron & (Deb) Wieling; sister-in-law, Gloria & (Dave) Weersing; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday at the Harlem Reformed Church, 6854 144th Avenue, with the Rev. John Nyitray officiating.
Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 pm Tuesday (tonight) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.
