Paula J. Hearn, age 75, of Kankakee, IL. passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Miller Center Nursing Home in Kankakee, IL. She was born on September 22, 1936 in Sullivan, IL. the daughter of Paul and Gertrude Dixon. Paula graduated from ONU with a Bachelor’s Degree and became a teacher having taught for 25 years at Kankakee District 111 retiring in 2004. Paula was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Kankakee, IL. enjoyed handwork, reading and crafts.
She is survived by her son Gary (Jorja) Hearn of Elgin, IL., sisters; Betty Hendricks of Louisville, CO. and Deana (Richard) Dubs of Forsyth, IL., and nieces Melinda, Christina and Jennifer.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Hearn, a son Derek Lee Hearn and her parents.
A time of gathering will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2012 from 10am until the time of services at 2pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Kankakee, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or to The American Lung Association would be appreciated.
