Anita Dykstra

Anita D. Dykstra, age 85, of Bradley, IL. passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Heritage Woods Nursing Home in Kankakee, IL. She was born on August 2, 1926 in St. Anne, IL. the daughter of William and Pearl Vadeboncoeur. On July 29, 1946 in St. Anne, IL. Anita married Lester Dykstra. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor of America, enjoyed crocheting, dogs, drawing, and especially spending time with family.

Anita is survived by her children; Ellen (Ed Sr.) Foale of St. Anne, IL. and Kory S. (Janet) Dykstra of Gwinn, MI., granddaughters Stephanie (Jeff) Berry and Dee Wise both of Bradley, IL., great-grandchildren; Stella K. (Dina) Berry, Christine (Jason) Gutzeit, Nicole Minor, Kory Dutour, Megan Wise, and Courtney Wise, great-great grandchildren; Kayli Cyrier, Codi Cyrier, Brenden Minor, Blake Minor, Lily Minor, Benjamin Minor, Eva Berry, Abbigail Gutzeit, and Jayden Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, her parents, and a great-great-granddaughter Angel Berry.

A time of gathering will take place on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 10am-1pm at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes Kankakee Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 9am at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes Kankakee Chapel, followed by an interment at Kankakee Memorial Gardens Kankakee, IL.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Kankakee County Animal Foundation or Bradley Animal Hospital would be appreciated.
