Maude "Elaine" Bossert

Maude “Elaine” Bossert, age 89, of Kankekee, IL. Passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Merkle Knipprath Catholic Homes in Clifton, IL. Maude was born on July 18, 1922 to John and Edith (Patchett) Hunt. She married Eldon Bossert on May 3, 1947 in Kankakee, IL. who passed away on April 15, 2011. Mrs. Bossert worked at Riverside Medical Center in the Laundry Department for twenty-two years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church for fifty years. Elaine enjoyed reading, playing cards, playing games, dining at Blues Café, and enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. “She loved her family and her family loved her”.

She is survived by two daughters; Diane Glassford of Las Vegas, NV., and Karen Moritz of Cullom, IL., one son; James (Kathie) Bossert of Charleston, IL., thirteen grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren, one brother; Carl Hunt of Cabery, IL., two sisters; Velma (Leon) O’Brien of Joliet, IL., and Marjorie LaReau of Reddick, IL., one sister in law Lucille (Bill) Lydigsen of FL., and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Eldon, one brother; LaVerne Hunt, and two sister; Doris Rohrbach and Eileen Bossert.

A memorial Service will be held at a later date.
