Barbara Jean Haske, 62, of Alpena died Tuesday February 7, 2012 at home.

Barb was born January 7, 1950 in Alpena to Leonard and Emma (Abend) Sommerfield and had been a life-long resident of the area. She married Lester Haske on April 12, 1979 in Alpena. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2004. Barb enjoyed doing word searches, creating crafts and attending the Light of Hope Clubhouse.

Surviving are four children; Sherri Haske of Alpena, Bobbie Haske of Lansing, MI, Cindy (James) Helms of Boyne City, Patrick Haske of Alpena, four grandchildren, Dylan, James, Jr., Devin, Jasmine , a sister, Beverly (Kevin) Smith of Lapeer, MI, seven brothers; Bob (Lynnette) Sommerfield of Lapeer, MI, Don Sommerfield of Alpena, Harry (Caroline) Sommerfield of Lake Orion, MI, Roger (Debbie) Sommerfield of Seviervile, TN, Rodney (Janet) Sommerfield of Kingston, MI, Darrell Sommerfield of Alpena and Rick (Tammy) Sommerfield of Mayville, MI. She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Street.

Barb is at McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena where family and friends will gather on Friday February 10, 2012 from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
