Joyce was my mother's roommate at Hazel Findlay and it was my pleasure to get to know her, if only for a short time. Often times my mother would be sleeping and if Joyce was awake, we spent time talking with each other. I found her to be a kind, intelligent, insightful, and faith-filled woman.

I am sad for her family, but know that Joyce was one with the Lord and is at peace.

Joyce attended our Bible study at Hazel Findley and made a difference! She shared her wisdom of God's word and was always learning something new. When she no longer could attend I would visit at her bed side. She had a real hunger to learn more about Heaven and was excited about her new book "Heaven" by Randy Alcove.

My heart was saddened by the news of her passing but so thankful we need not sorrow as those who have no hope. Our hope is in the Lord! Her family is in my thoughts and prayers and I thank God for the good memories I have of her!!

Joyce was my grandma and its hard to believe that she is gone. There are tons of fond memories that I have and I will never forget. I remember that when I would get sick when I was little she would come get me from school and I would get to hang out in the backroom of the library and play with toys until my parents came and picked me up. That is just one example, but I could keep writing forever. Grandma, you will be missed. Tell grandpa hi and that he is still in my thoughts, miss you two.

A wonderful woman has left us for a better place. One of my fondest memories of Aunt Joyce happened when I was about 10 years old. I was a nail biter and she disapproved of the bad habit. She tried many times to talk me out of biting my nails, but that didn't work. So, she bribed me with the promise of a surprise! Needless to say, I haven't bitten my nails in over 55 years. God bless you Aunt Joyce. You made my life richer by being there for me. I'll miss you! My thoughts and prayers are with the family you've left behind.

I worked with Joyce at Thompson Library 1991-1993. She was a great BOSS! The staff took her to LaSenorita for her birthday on year...she told us if those waitress' come out clapping and singing with a cake, we were fired!!! No cake that night! She was a caring, very friendly person. The city of Ithaca loss a great director when she retired. I just asked Cindy about her before Christmas...I always think about her as I passed through St. Johns. My sympathy to all her family.

Joyce was a very nice neighbor and a good friend. I sure missed her when she moved.
