Leo H. Timm

Leo H. Timm, 85, of Kankakee passed away July 30, 2009 at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home. He was born January 8, 1924 in Chebanse the son of Henry and Anna (Jannusch) Timm. Mr. Timm was a carpenter for Elmer Brinkman Construction for years. He is a veteran of the United States Army serving in Normandy, Northern France from March 24, 1943 to January 4, 1946. During his tour of duty, he was a heavy truck driver and obtained the Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with two bornze stars, 4 Overseas Service Bars, the Good Conduct Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon.Mr. Timm is survived by 4 sons- John (Ruth) Timm of Bourbonnais, Virgil (Nancy) Timm of Chebanse, Michael Timm of Kankakee and Daniel (Joni) Timm of Cresent City; 1 daughter Anna(Terry) Martell of Lake in the Hills; 12 grandsons, 4 grandaughters and 10 great grandchildren.He is proceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
